A New Strategy Pays Off for TEKsystems

TEKsystems, a global IT staffing and services firm with about 6,000 employees, faced rapid market and internal change that left its traditional L&D model unable to keep pace. To better support client-facing employees and realign learning across an international workforce, TEKsystems partnered with Degreed and adopted the Degreed learning platform (including Pathways, Plans and Pages, Groups, Skill Plans, provider integrations, and skill ratings).

Degreed helped TEKsystems shift to a socially-curated, on-the-job learning model—launching role-specific Pathways, a six-week onboarding program, and community-driven content sharing under the “Learn. Share. Repeat.” message. The results were strong: 80% weekly engagement in Degreed, recruiters 100% trained in Degreed, 265,000 searches and 240,000 completions in the first nine months, 9,000 items shared, faster progression off training pay (4-week reduction), higher producer spread-per-recruiter, and eliminated costly off-site summits.
