EK Health, a leading managed care organization serving workers’ compensation and liability clients, needed to replace a slow, manual billing process that was difficult to track and prone to errors across varying state-level billing rules. To gain more control over their operations and reduce the risk of revenue leakage, EK Health chose Decisions and its no-code automation platform to build a custom billing solution.

With Decisions, EK Health implemented a rules-driven billing platform using the vendor’s workflow designer and rules engine, supported by a Decisions engineer during implementation and migration. The result was 100% client migration completed in early May 2021, 95% of billing volume automated, and rulesets built for 50% of the states, improving accuracy, reducing manual processing time, and helping the team automate additional internal workflows.
