Discovery Auto Sales, a single-point buy-here, pay-here dealership in Austin, Texas, needed a simpler, data-driven way to manage collections and assess collector performance—especially when in-person operations were disrupted by COVID-19. To address this, the dealer switched from Finance Express to DealerSocket’s IDMS and leaned on the IDMS Account Management tools to run its collections program.
DealerSocket implemented IDMS with Account Management and integrated Sigma Payment Solutions to enable text- and web-based payments. Discovery Auto Sales used IDMS to generate daily and weekly reports to track delinquency rates, calculate collector commissions, and spot trends. As a result, payments continued coming in during pandemic closures, collectors no longer had to be payment intermediaries, revenue was sustained, and the dealership gained clearer performance metrics—outcomes that prompted the GM to recommend DealerSocket’s IDMS to peers.
