BMW, a leading luxury car marque in Australia, needed practical and theoretical support for high-potential staff who had moved quickly into responsible roles and required stronger middle management skills. BMW also wanted a flexible learning solution that could fit the busy schedules of its dealers, managers and specialists. DeakinCo. was brought in to help.

DeakinCo. customised its Business Diploma for BMW, delivering an 18-month blended program built around eight units covering planning, budgeting, prioritisation, continuous improvement and people management. The solution included face-to-face workshops, study groups, workbooks and workplace improvement projects tailored to BMW’s environment, plus ongoing support from a project manager and facilitator. Participants reported improved strategic problem-solving, better use of financial tools and stronger team engagement, and graduates earned a nationally recognised award from Deakin University with the option to pursue further qualifications.
