A DataLog Finance Case Study

Preview of the IBM Case Study

IBM EMEA optimises its financial flows with CashPooler

IBM EMEA faced fragmented, decentralized cash management across its subsidiaries, working with more than 30 banks and roughly 30 different treasury systems across 16 target countries. To rationalise banking relationships, centralise payments and standardise formats while meeting IBM’s technical standards (Web architecture, AIX, DB2, WebSphere), IBM selected CashPooler from DataLog Finance.

DataLog Finance implemented CashPooler—a pure web payment factory with native X400/EDIFACT support and flexible interface mapping—allowing rapid roll‑out and easy integration with IBM’s systems. The deployment centralized nearly one million payments annually (projected to reach 3 million by end‑2005), automated 90% of payments end‑to‑end, reduced banking relationships and costs, delivered a quick ROI with no major incidents over two years, and simplified handling of ~170 formats.
