JEKO Tech, an industrial automation solutions provider, was tasked with automating a powder mixing process for their customer, the Huijbregts Groep. The challenge was to move the Dutch food ingredient company away from its inefficient, manual mixing operation to a highly automated system that could significantly boost productivity, improve quality, and enhance workplace safety.

Danfoss delivered the solution by providing 96 VLT® AutomationDrives in IP66 enclosures, which were integrated with a wireless PROFINET control system. This allowed 24 mobile mixers to operate autonomously, with positioning handled by VLT® Smart Logic Controllers. The results for Huijbregts Groep were transformative: productivity tripled from 30 to 100 orders per day, process time was reduced by up to two hours, mixing accuracy improved by 200%, and the cleaning cycle was cut from 8 hours to just 40 minutes.
