IROCK Crushers needed a smarter solution for its TC-15 track impact/closed circuit crusher after repeated engine stalling led to major downtime and manual labor. The company turned to Danfoss, working through distributor Kraft Fluid Systems, to develop a custom engine-monitoring software solution rather than use an off-the-shelf package.

Danfoss and Kraft Fluid Systems created a PLUS+1 controller-based software solution that monitored engine load and automatically reduced or stopped feeder speed when overload conditions were detected, redirecting horsepower to the crusher. The result was a machine that corrected itself, eliminated stalling-related downtime, increased throughput, and made the TC-15 more competitive by reducing more than three hours of downtime per incident.
