Bohui Paper chooses energyefficient APP pumps for fast compliance with ZLD legislation

Bohui Paper Group needed to quickly build an energy-efficient zero liquid discharge (ZLD) wastewater treatment plant to handle 30,000 m³/day of chemical wastewater and comply with China’s tightening environmental regulations. To meet the four-month deadline, the company turned to Danfoss and its high-pressure APP pumps for a solution that could reduce energy consumption in a demanding RO-based treatment process.

Danfoss implemented a two-stage RO wastewater treatment system using APP 78 pumps in the first stage and APP W 24 pumps in the second stage to pre-concentrate wastewater and reduce the load on brine crystallization. The project was completed rapidly, with pump delivery in just 6–8 weeks, and Bohui Paper reported lower operating costs, easier maintenance, and strong energy efficiency performance, helping the plant achieve ZLD compliance on schedule.
