Case Study: Ariete saves energy and boosts biscuit factory efficiency with Danfoss VLT drives

Ariete delivers quality and competitive edge using the same drive for fans, conveyors and mixers

Ariete, a manufacturer of industrial baking equipment, needed a more competitive and technically advanced drive solution for its machinery used in a biscuit factory project. They sought a product that offered integrated safety and Ethernet communication functions to improve their machine offerings. To meet this challenge, they selected the VLT® Midi Drive FC 280 from vendor Danfoss.

Danfoss provided a solution with the VLT® Midi Drive, which featured an integrated harmonic filter saving space and cost, dual-port Ethernet for ring network topology, and the ability to operate in high ambient temperatures. The implementation resulted in a better technical solution for controlling fans, conveyors, and mixers across seven production lines. The results for Ariete included maintaining machine competitiveness, achieving fast and easy setup with low costs, and a successful installation of 100 drives without the need for additional external hardware.
