UCode, a leading provider of coding education for children in California (about 10,000 students tutored across four Southern California locations), struggled to recruit and retain highly qualified tutors who can readily move to higher‑paying roles at startups. To address turnover among its largely millennial instructor workforce, UCode began offering DailyPay in November 2016 as an earned‑wage access benefit.
By implementing DailyPay, UCode gave instructors (and later administrative staff) on‑demand access to earned wages at no cost or integration fees to the company, which led to a strong positive response and helped improve recruitment and retention of tutors. DailyPay’s solution reduced turnover risk, enabling UCode to maintain a more consistent instructional staff and deliver a steadier product to students across its locations.
