Case Study: National Australia Bank strengthens privileged access security and scales PAM enterprise-wide with CyberArk

A CyberArk Case Study

Preview of the National Australia Bank Case Study

Taking a Phased Approach, National Australia Bank Continuously Strengthens its Security Posture

National Australia Bank (NAB) is a major financial services group operating across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the UK and the US. Faced with rising digital demand and an evolving threat landscape, NAB needed to protect vast numbers of privileged accounts and sensitive customer data while enabling business agility—addressing privilege across admin accounts, applications, development pipelines and operational technology.

NAB’s PAM team adopted a phased, policy-first deployment of CyberArk Privileged Access Manager, migrating high-risk credentials into a central vault, rotating and isolating secrets, and recording sessions; they used CyberArk Discover & Audit to inventory accounts and drive remediation. The program has onboarded hundreds of critical applications and tens of thousands of accounts, improved reporting and control, and extended into the cloud to boost resilience, scalability and overall security posture.
