The Westin Copley Place in Boston — an 803-room, newly renovated hotel with about 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and a skybridge to the Hynes Convention Center — faced a sudden marketing challenge after Marriott’s acquisition of Starwood removed corporate support for its 3‑Diamond Cvent placement. Dropping to a 2‑Diamond ad coincided with a noticeable decline in RFP volume while the Boston market grew, so the property needed a targeted, cost-effective way to regain visibility and group business.
Working with Cvent, the hotel ran a Diamond Plus campaign to spotlight its renovated spaces and target specific need periods.
