Using Inquisium to Improve the Los Angeles Transportation Experience

Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) needed a robust way to gather representative public input for its agency-wide Strategic Plan, Metro Vision 2028. Facing high-stakes decisions that directly affect riders’ lives, the planning team found existing survey tools too limited in customization and logic, so they sought a solution that could capture nuanced feedback from both riders and non-riders across diverse personas.

LA Metro adopted Cvent’s Inquisium to build a single, highly targeted survey with complex visibility logic and eight user segments/crosstabs, supported by targeted outreach like Facebook ads and onboard paper responses. The effort yielded over 18,000 responses, produced actionable reports used in the Metro Vision update, bus redesign work and long-range planning, and delivered lasting value through two years of continued Inquisium use.
