A Cvent Case Study
The University of Southern California’s Office of Cultural Relations and University Events runs Trojan Family Weekend, a self-funded four-day gathering of over 4,000 students and family members and manages 300+ campus events annually. The team needed to scale registration and attendance, strengthen campus partner engagement, streamline registration and abstract submissions, capture actionable attendee data, and boost mobile engagement and event revenue.
By adopting Cvent Event Management, OnArrival and CrowdCompass—using Cvent’s Flex registration, segmented e‑marketing, Abstract Management and OnArrival Premium—USC streamlined registration and check‑in, targeted attendees with data-driven campaigns, and improved partner submissions. Results included a 29% jump in registrations after initial adoption (plus a further 2% in 2018), a 34% increase in session offerings, 168% growth in mobile app adoption, 9% higher tailgate ticket revenue, 112% more users building schedules in the app, 88% more organic social shares, and full campus-school participation—driving revenue, engagement and stronger stakeholder reporting.
