Lord Somers Camp and Power House (LSC&PH) is an Australian not‑for‑profit that runs camps and community programs to foster leadership, inclusion and wellbeing. When the COVID‑19 pandemic forced them to cancel all in‑person events overnight—after about 1,500 annual attendees across ages 15–80—they needed to quickly reassess their events strategy while keeping members connected and their mission intact.

Using Cvent’s centralized event management, registration, email marketing and survey tools, LSC&PH handled cancellations, refunds and communications smoothly and shifted programs to virtual conferencing within days. The move expanded access (reaching distant and older members), boosted re‑engagement and frequency of participation, and has led to a larger, more flexible calendar with plans to keep virtual offerings, launch internal trainings and run a global fundraiser.
