InterContinental Paris Le Grand is an iconic Parisian hotel with 21 meeting rooms and 24,300 sq ft of event space, but despite its scale it struggled to generate a steady flow of MICE business. The team faced seasonal gaps, slow RFP response times, last-minute cancellations, rate disparity with similar hotels, and competition from nearby destinations, and needed a reliable way to secure groups year-round and balance group versus individual revenue.

In 2011 the hotel partnered with Cvent to increase visibility and speed up RFP handling, allowing them to match competitor pricing faster and market their facilities more effectively. The results were significant: 106% increase in awarded room nights, 43% more awarded RFPs and a 154% rise in awarded business value, plus a 32% increase in room nights received and a 28% rise in room nights awarded since 2012 — including a low‑season 900-room-night booking that became recurring business.
