The Georgia Bankers Association (GBA), which provides professional development for banks across Georgia, faced a rapid disruption in 2020 when the pandemic forced many planned in-person events to be canceled or reimagined. A small team of three struggled with antiquated, manual registration, reporting and payment processes that limited outreach and attendee experience, so they needed a more user‑friendly, automated solution to safely resume events and scale member engagement.
GBA implemented Cvent’s integrated Event Marketing & Management platform with the Attendee Hub/mobile app and Payment Services, supported by Cvent training and community resources. The result: automated registrations and refunds, touchless onsite experiences, consolidated reporting and major time savings—supporting 800+ registrants across two in‑person events, 81 sessions, over 50% app adoption at the Annual Meeting (500+ attendees) and strong engagement at the Leadership Conference (400 registrants), while turning a manual workflow into a single source of truth.
