Empowering women’s career advancement through exceptional hybrid events

The Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) is a nonprofit that advances women’s careers in the foodservice industry through professional development, networking and its annual Leadership Conference. When the pandemic limited travel, WFF’s small events team faced the challenge of shifting to hybrid delivery while preserving the conference’s high-value networking, managing a complex multi-track program, and maintaining accurate attendee data.

Partnering with Cvent and using solutions like Attendee Hub, Registration, Mobile App, OnArrival, Appointments and the Exhibitor Portal, WFF ran hybrid conferences in 2021 and 2022. The results: 4,460 registrants across both events, a 93% attendance rate in 2021, 66,280 engagement points tracked in 2022, nearly 4,700 virtual exhibitor activities (avg. 394 booth views per exhibitor), 1,816 app downloads and roughly 2,700 onsite check-ins. The program also eliminated printed materials, improved automation and Salesforce integration, and preserved meaningful networking for virtual and in-person attendees.
