Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association - Customer Case Study

The Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA) is a nonprofit area association of more than 8,000 members that typically hosts a four-day Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposium for ~1,400 onsite attendees. When the pandemic made an in-person event impossible, EATA needed an intuitive, all-in-one virtual platform that would integrate with their existing Cvent registration, support livestreams and interactive sessions, and track continuing education credits to meet board requirements.

EATA moved the conference to the Cvent Virtual Attendee Hub, using embedded video, integrated Zoom, live Q&A, searchable sessions, poster galleries, exhibitor booths, and built-in assessments for CEUs—plus on-demand access. The virtual event drew 1,967 attendees (≈40% above average), tripled event revenue, added 50 new members, earned 98% “good to excellent” ratings, and made content available for up to 90 days after the event.
