Crowne Plaza Rome - St. Peter’s is an upscale hotel near the Vatican offering 310 rooms, 13 modern meeting rooms and a 600-person conference centre. Facing aggressive local competition and outdated marketing, the hotel needed to educate planners to consider venues outside the city centre and better target the right audience to grow its meetings business.

The hotel partnered with Cvent to replace manual marketing with a Cvent Supplier Network listing, reporting and a 3‑Diamond profile, enabling faster RFP responses and richer event information. The move drove strong growth: RFPs rose 23% to 170, awarded room nights jumped 275% to 1,109 in 2015, and overall results included a 42% increase in total room nights, a 600% increase in awarded RFPs and a 49% rise in unique planner organisations.
