A Cvent Case Study
The American College of Physicians (ACP), a global community of more than 160,000 internal medicine specialists, faced the challenge of converting its large annual Internal Medicine Meeting—normally up to 10,000 attendees and a year-long planning cycle—into a fully virtual event on a compressed timeline during the pandemic. ACP needed a high-performance, reliable platform and an experienced services partner to manage thousands of simultaneous attendees, more than 150 sessions, complex speaker logistics, and exhibitor interactions.
ACP partnered with Cvent and used the Attendee Hub plus Cvent’s Event Build, Virtual Event 360, Advanced Production, Exhibitor Management and Appointments services to deliver simulive sessions with live Q&A, polling, gamification, speaker training, and centralized exhibitor tools. The event drove strong engagement and measurable results: 7,049 registrants, 1.2 million digital engagement points, 150+ sessions, 3,300+ audience questions, over 4,000 exhibitor-list views and 3,400 booth views, 1,100+ exhibitor meetings and 300 actualized appointments—outcomes ACP attributes to both the platform’s stability and Cvent’s hands-on support.
