The Lodge at Flying Horse is a luxury Colorado resort that doubled its size—from 48 to 102 rooms—and added 4,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Facing shortened booking windows, pandemic-driven planner turnover, and a small sales team, director of sales and marketing Jeff Howell needed to retain existing relationships while quickly finding and qualifying new planners suited to the expanded property.

The resort upgraded to four-diamond Cvent advertising and adopted Planner Navigator, Business Intelligence, custom proposals and White Label RFPs to target and engage high-value planners. In the first half of 2022 they received 143 RFPs, were awarded $4.8M in RFP value, achieved a 55.9% bid rate and 10.5% conversion, cut RFP response time to two hours, and grew market share to 13.8%, driving larger, better-qualified leads and greater sales efficiency.
