Yelp chose Culture Amp in 2013 as its primary employee analytics and internal feedback platform to help HR collect feedback at scale and make faster, data-driven decisions. As the company grew rapidly, Yelp needed a solution that could support distributed teams, protect employee confidentiality, and simplify its technology stack while improving engagement and manager development.

Using Culture Amp’s engagement, manager feedback, onboarding, and exit surveys, Yelp was able to act on feedback more effectively across the employee lifecycle. The results included steady overall engagement above 70%, 9 out of 10 employees recommending Yelp as a great place to work, a 38% increase in confidence in company success within the Community team, and trainee retention returning to historic levels after changes informed by Culture Amp data.
