SoulCycle, a New York–based fitness brand with 84 studios, 2,500 employees and 44,000 active riders, faced the challenge of scaling its culture during a leadership transition while preserving the distinctive rider experience. HR needed a better way to capture timely, location-specific employee feedback at key milestones (onboarding, tenure, exit) and to benchmark results beyond basic Google surveys.

SoulCycle adopted Culture Amp to run annual and six‑month pulse surveys plus milestone and diversity & inclusion assessments, using real‑time analytics and industry benchmarks to surface clear priorities. Centralizing feedback enabled targeted conversations with leaders and concrete actions that boosted employee engagement, improved retention and onboarding insights, and helped instructors forge stronger rider connections—positively affecting talent attraction, growth and the customer experience.
