Richmond Football Club, led on people and culture by Dr. Amanda Green since 2013, needed a modern, fast employee‑engagement approach to replace outdated, time‑consuming surveys. With players and administrative staff both included, Richmond also had to time surveys carefully (outside season) so responses reflected meaningful workplace experience rather than on‑field pressures.
Since 2014 Richmond has used Culture Amp’s iOS‑enabled, real‑time platform to gather and benchmark feedback across the club. Survey insights have driven targeted initiatives — notably 2016 workshops on giving and receiving feedback — helped the football and business areas work together more effectively, and informed plans around wellbeing and unconscious bias, delivering more actionable, timely people‑culture decisions.
