Case Study: Nasdaq achieves better attrition risk monitoring with Culture Amp

A Culture Amp Case Study

Preview of the Nasdaq Case Study

How Nasdaq used Culture Amp data analytics to monitor for attrition risks

Nasdaq, a global technology company serving capital markets and other industries, wanted to better understand employee sentiment and proactively address attrition risk across its 10,000-person workforce. Since 2018, Nasdaq has used Culture Amp for engagement surveys, pulse surveys, and exit interviews, but the team needed deeper analysis to identify the root causes of turnover while keeping employee feedback confidential.

Culture Amp’s people scientists partnered with Nasdaq on an in-depth retention analysis using pulse survey data to assess how predictive a “intent to stay” question was for attrition. The analysis found strong predictive power, helping Nasdaq anticipate who may be likely to leave and giving managers anonymized insights to act on. As a result, Nasdaq has improved its retention strategy, increased engagement by 8 to 10 points in 2020, and built a more data-driven approach to focusing on belonging, career development, and company vision.
