How NASCAR took the lead on employee experience with Culture Amp

NASCAR, the world’s premier sanctioning body for stock car racing, faced a major employee experience challenge after its 2020 merger: bringing together two legacy cultures into one cohesive, engaged workforce. To better understand and improve employee engagement across a dispersed, traveling organization, NASCAR turned to Culture Amp for a single, data-driven platform to collect feedback and guide its people strategy.

Using Culture Amp, NASCAR ran engagement surveys, tracked participation in real time, and used the insights to launch targeted initiatives around learning and development, recognition, wellness, and employee resource groups. The results included survey participation rising from 89% to 96%, a 4-point increase in favorability, a 10% improvement in feedback collection efficiency, and a 30% reduction in L&D cycle time. Culture Amp also helped NASCAR build leadership buy-in and earn recognition as one of Sports Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in 2023.
