A Culture Amp Case Study
Brownes Dairy, Western Australia’s oldest dairy company, was preparing for ambitious growth under a new CEO but needed a better way to manage employee feedback and performance. Its old HRIS-based process was clunky, lacked reporting and benchmarking, and failed to gain staff buy-in, making it hard for Brownes Dairy to understand sentiment across its diverse workforce. Culture Amp helped Brownes Dairy replace those outdated methods with a more employee-friendly performance and engagement framework.
Culture Amp implemented bi-annual engagement surveys and a streamlined performance management cycle, supported by training for employees and managers. The result was a 20% increase in participation in performance feedback, engagement survey participation of 83%, and 91% participation among eligible staff, while saving the people team two days per week on performance reviews. With Culture Amp, Brownes Dairy also gained stronger reporting, more meaningful manager conversations, and a more responsive, people-first culture.
