Optimizing Network Circuits Brings Speed, Efficiency and Savings for a Global Telecom OEM

Global Telecom Service Provider, a global telecom service provider operating across 130 countries, faced rising operational costs, underutilized hardware, and declining throughput across its network circuits as its infrastructure expanded and aged. They turned to CSS Corp for help optimizing their transport network and reducing OPEX across their leased circuit footprint.

CSS Corp audited and analyzed the client’s network, compared physical and operational data against Granite records, and then optimized, migrated, and decommissioned unnecessary circuits and equipment through a controlled MOP-based process. The engagement reduced traffic from 12 OC48 rings to 4 OC48 rings, saved over $3 million annually on optical circuits, and freed more than 1,000 sq. ft. of footprint in each of 5 central offices.
