UNO Pizzeria & Grill, the Chicago-born chain famous for its deep-dish pizza with over 90 locations worldwide, used the COVID-19 disruption to rethink operations. Facing fragmented, antiquated systems—multiple vendors, spreadsheet reconciliations, and inaccurate food-cost reporting—leadership set out to consolidate tools, improve real-time visibility, and redesign the business for a shift toward takeout and delivery.
UNO selected Crunchtime to unify inventory, labor, reporting and audits into one customizable platform. Implementation gave franchisees site-level data, best‑in‑class actual-vs-theoretical food-cost analysis, and the Counter mobile inventory app, enabling faster counts and actionable insights; outcomes included clearer P&Ls, roughly two points lower labor cost, improved food-cost control, stronger franchise performance visibility, and new franchise growth, with plans to add Crunchtime’s TalentLink LMS.
