How City Barbeque leverages technology to streamline restaurant operations

City Barbeque is a fast-casual barbeque chain with 52 locations known for slow-smoked, made-from-scratch BBQ and sides. As the company scaled, it faced a technology challenge: a patchwork of separate labor and inventory tools that didn’t integrate with the POS, making it hard to standardize processes, manage multi-day food prep and control food costs across restaurants.

City Barbeque implemented CrunchTime with hands-on support from Customer Success Managers to standardize inventory and labor management and consolidate tools. Using CrunchTime plus BizIQ for real-time dashboards and reporting, managers now log into one platform, inventory time was cut in half, food- and labor-data can be analyzed together, and the system supports expansion and data-driven menu engineering.
