A Crunchtime Case Study
Juice Press, a fast-growing New York City startup focused on cold-pressed juices and healthy foods, needed a way to scale without the common “growing pains” of a rapid rollout. Operating about a dozen stores and moving toward centralized production, the company required a system to capture and analyze costs, standardize recipes and purchasing, and give store managers clear, real-time insight into day‑to‑day operations.
In January 2014 Juice Press implemented CrunchTime’s web-based back-office platform—inventory management, purchasing, production planning and BizIQ reporting—building a central repository of recipes, vendors and pricing. Real-time analytics and suggested ordering cut waste and improved margins, gave investors visibility, tied manager bonuses to performance, and helped Juice Press expand efficiently to 54 locations by December 2016 while improving shrink management and profitability.
