Minneapolis-based Caribou Coffee (and sister brand Bruegger’s Bagels) struggled with inefficient scheduling that cost hours of productivity and frustrated staff. Their old system produced generic headcount estimates without role breakdowns, forcing managers to guess assignments, spend up to 1.5 hours weekly building schedules, incur unexpected payroll costs and overtime when borrowing staff, and leave team members unable to view or manage schedules remotely.

Caribou deployed CrunchTime! Teamworx across 326 Caribou and 154 Bruegger’s locations, integrating scheduling with HR and automating templates for new stores. Managers now build schedules in about 30 minutes, employees can view shifts and request swaps/time off in-system, payroll impacts are visible immediately, accidental overtime is avoided, and the company reports happier team members and improved guest satisfaction.
