Tech Bootcamp Cuts Interview Time in Half with Video Interviewing, and Candidates Love It

A leading software-engineering bootcamp that runs beginner and intermediate programs saw graduation rates drop after COVID and faced a surge in applicants that overwhelmed a small admissions team. Live Zoom interviews (four staff handling ~250 interviews/month) caused technical issues, long grading times, scheduling delays and candidate drop-off, so the school needed faster, more scalable ways to assess applicants’ potential.

The school adopted Criteria’s Video Interviewing (asynchronous pre-recorded interviews) and the CCAT cognitive assessment.
