An international data management company operating a call center sought to improve employee attendance among its frontline staff.

They administered the Workplace Productivity Profile (WPP) to 72 call-center employees and compared WPP scores (Pass = Medium/High) with manager-rated attendance and performance. WPP scores correlated with attendance (r = 0.35, p < 0.001); employees who passed were over four times more likely to have strong attendance (47% vs. 10%) and averaged 21% higher performance than those who did not pass.
