Criteria partnered with JVR Psychometrics to evaluate how Cognify—a game-based cognitive assessment—relates to job performance among 115 South African employees across industries (education, professional services, oil and gas) and job levels from semi-skilled to top management.

Employees completed Cognify and managers rated multiple performance factors; those scoring average or above on Cognify received higher overall ratings (6.15 vs 4.52 on a 1–7 scale) and stronger manager ratings across many areas, including technical expertise (+29%), accuracy (+20%), learning new skills (+39%), idea generation (+26%), handling complex situations (+33%), crisis reaction (+22%), and influencing coworkers (+24%).
