ASK is an inbound call center in Montgomery, Alabama that provides customer service rooted in Southern hospitality. Facing high-volume hiring (10–20 new reps per week) and poor candidate quality while relying on temporary agencies, ASK saw a 74% new-hire turnover rate and spent large amounts of time interviewing unfit applicants.
ASK partnered with Criteria to screen applicants using basic skills, personality, and typing tests to prioritize interviews. Results: turnover fell from 74% to 30% (a 44-point drop, or 59% relative reduction), weekly interviewing time dropped from 40 to 17 hours (saving ~23 hours/week, ≈1,200 hours/year), and managers and clients reported markedly higher quality hires.
