Trip.com, the global travel platform serving 400 million users across 31 countries and regions, wanted to expand its international growth while keeping marketing efficient and targeted. To do this, Trip.com partnered with Criteo on cross-device dynamic advertising, including lower-funnel retargeting and app user acquisition, to reach high-value travelers and drive installs and bookings.
Criteo implemented automated bidding and app campaigns to optimize Trip.com’s performance across markets and devices. The results included a 158% month-over-month increase in app installs, 159% growth in in-app orders, a 13% higher conversion rate, and a 17% lower cost per order; the case study also reports a 30% increase in CVR, 221% YoY uplift in app retargeting sales, and a 37% decrease in CPO.
