Santéplus, one of the top-five health websites in the French-speaking world, needed to grow ad revenue without compromising the quality and relevance of its advertising. The publisher also wanted more creative, high-CPM formats that would engage users while preserving a positive user experience.

By giving Criteo first-impression priority and passing unsold impressions back to its alternate ad server, Santéplus added Criteo’s fixed footer units at the top of articles and a 630×500 text link at the bottom, serving only relevant, brand-appropriate ads. The result: 2× ad revenue in eight months, more than 6 million impressions purchased by Criteo, higher CPMs than other partners, real-time optimization driving monthly revenue growth, and an 86% higher CTR on the fixed footer format.
