Gumtree, one of the UK’s largest online classifieds platforms, needed help reaching a younger 18–30 audience as it refreshed its brand around sustainability and recommerce. Working with Criteo, Gumtree looked to online video advertising as a way to build awareness for its “Good Finds” positioning and connect with new audiences beyond its existing retargeting activity.
Criteo implemented a video advertising solution that used its audience targeting, cross-device reach, and publisher network to scale the campaign and drive engagement. The results were strong: Gumtree achieved 4.7 million completed video views, an 81% video completion rate, and a rise in return on ad spend from 14x to 24x, while also increasing website visits.
