How Elsevier Delivers Reliable Safety Communication Globally with CrisisGo’s Alerts and Check-ins

Elsevier, the Netherlands-based academic publishing and analytics company, needed a more reliable way to manage emergency communications across its 42 buildings and global workforce of 8,500 employees. Its internally developed incident-response app was difficult to maintain and posed too much risk if a serious event occurred, especially given Elsevier’s need for strong business continuity and technical resilience. To address this, Elsevier turned to CrisisGo and its CrisisGo Safe platform.

CrisisGo implemented CrisisGo Safe in January 2021 to support location-based incident messaging, real-time safety check-ins, and secure communication without collecting phone numbers or emails. The solution helped Elsevier improve staff accountability during incidents, support privacy requirements across countries, and strengthen continuity testing. As a result, Elsevier now uses CrisisGo as its primary communication platform for major incidents and plans to expand it to approximately 30,000 RELX users.
