Halfords, the UK’s leading motoring, cycling and leisure retailer, faced the challenge of delivering seamless, relevant digital experiences across a vast product catalog and changing business priorities. The ecommerce team needed to use a single customer view and real-time signals (like location and weather) to create differentiated journeys that stay agile and closely aligned to customer needs.
Working with Qubit (now part of Coveo), Halfords deployed personalized homepage modules, weather- and location-driven content, product recommendation carousels and social-proof badging on PLPs and PDPs. The targeted personalization drove measurable gains: a 2.66% uplift in RPV on the homepage, 3% uplift in items per basket from recommendations, 3.12% RPV and 1.59% CR uplifts on PLPs, and a 3.59% RPV uplift on PDPs, backed by six billion events captured per year.
