Crocus, the UK’s largest gardening site with a 4,000‑strong catalog, needed to help customers quickly find the right plants and products and reduce friction across a non‑linear customer journey. The ecommerce team wanted to use data-driven personalization to inspire shoppers, increase conversion and grow lifetime value while accommodating different experience levels and browsing intents.
Working with Qubit, Crocus deployed Visitor Pulse surveys to capture intent, personalized PDP recommendations and social‑proof badges, onsite wheelbarrow reminders and abandonment recovery via Qubit–MailChimp. These tactics delivered measurable gains: product recommendations lifted RPV by 1.8%, social proof drove +1.26% CVR and +3.71% RPV, and wheelbarrow reminders produced +1.66% CVR, +2.96% RPV and 14% engagement on the saved items.
