Transforming risk management training at CJPIA with Cornerstone

The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (CJPIA) needed a scalable way to deliver risk management training to 126 municipalities and special districts with a team of just 32 employees. Partnering with Cornerstone OnDemand, using Cornerstone Learning Management, CJPIA sought to manage diverse training needs, improve engagement, and support compliance across its member agencies.

Cornerstone OnDemand helped CJPIA implement a flexible learning solution that blended online and in-person training, with DXC supporting the rollout. The results were strong: training participation grew from 100 to over 1,600 in-person sessions annually, more than 300 online courses were created, and one program contributed to a 30% reduction in workers’ compensation claims.
