Sylvan Learning, a global tutoring franchise operating more than 750 centers since 1979, needed a way to standardize staff training and certification and build a stronger sense of community across geographically dispersed franchisees. Their legacy LMS was basic and underused, leaving directors and teachers with inconsistent training experiences and a feeling of isolation.
Sylvan launched “Sylvan University Now” using Cornerstone Learning, Connect and Extended Enterprise to deliver cohort-based, blended and collaborative training. The platform has driven more than 28,000 certifications (including a sales certification completed by 500 people from 394 centers), created active learning communities, improved training effectiveness, increased customer conversion rates, standardized certification across franchises and saved time and travel costs.
