A Cornerstone OnDemand Case Study
Project HOPE, a nonprofit global health organization founded in 1958 and operating in more than 30 countries, struggled with outdated, manual talent management: in-person training, paper-based reviews, limited ATS reporting and slow background checks by fax. With five HR staff supporting about 600 employees, contractors and volunteers—often deployed to disaster zones within 24–72 hours—the organization needed an easy-to-use, offline-capable system that could integrate with existing tools and fit a tight nonprofit budget.
Through the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation Strategic Partner Program, Project HOPE implemented Cornerstone Recruiting, Learning and Performance to automate hiring (online background checks, electronic interview evaluations and automated communications), deliver and track on-demand onboarding and training (nearly 2,000 course registrations in a year with a 95% completion rate, including Ebola preparedness), and raise review completion to 95–98%. The solution also enabled goal setting and tracking and provided mentoring for HR leaders, improving capacity to manage, engage and deploy staff quickly and effectively.
