Improving productivity and enabling real-time collaboration among 41,000 global volunteers

AIESEC, a global nonprofit founded in 1948, runs cross-cultural volunteer and internship programs with more than 41,000 student volunteers across 126 countries. Facing a static, website-based system that couldn’t support rapid coordination or the short-term, millennial-driven volunteer cycle, the organization needed an easy-to-access, mobile-friendly talent management solution to enable faster communication, onboarding and collaboration worldwide.

With a technology grant from the Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation and rollout beginning in 2017, AIESEC adopted Cornerstone’s learning and talent platform to deliver tailored training, social collaboration tools and centralized resources. The platform shortened time to competency, enabled real-time knowledge sharing, made it easier to identify high performers, and improved overall efficiency and productivity across the global volunteer network.
