Ventura County Fire Department, which handles nearly 45,000 calls a year across fire, medical, rescue, and hazardous response emergencies, needed a better way to manage the extensive training and compliance demands of its more than 450 firefighters. The department turned to Cornerstone OnDemand and its Cornerstone Learning Suite to replace a paper-based process and support learning for a highly mobile workforce.
Cornerstone OnDemand helped Ventura County Fire Department move training online, making learning accessible on mobile devices and computers while improving tracking, reminders, and compliance oversight. The department tripled platform users in the first year, increased on-time completion of required learning, and later expanded to Cornerstone’s Performance Suite for career tracking and reviews to support internal advancement and succession planning.
