Glencore’s bespoke ethics and compliance training boosts employee engagement globally

Glencore, one of the world’s largest diversified natural resource companies, needed a more effective way to deliver ethics and compliance training across 135,000 employees and contractors in 35+ countries. Its challenge was to make training relevant, engaging, multilingual, and accessible for remote and frontline workers while improving assignment, tracking, and reporting. Glencore turned to Cornerstone OnDemand, using its Learning Management System and mobile app alongside SAI360 content to modernize the program.

Cornerstone OnDemand helped Glencore create a more targeted, scalable compliance training experience with better reporting, automated reminders, role-based assignments, and support for 11 languages. The vendor partnership also enabled customized, scenario-based courses that were shortened from 45 minutes to about 15 minutes, and more than 50,000 employees and contractors were classified by function and risk level in the LMS. As a result, Glencore improved employee engagement, training relevance, and data visibility across its global workforce.
