MidMichigan Health, a nonprofit health system serving a 23-county region in Michigan with about 7,800 employees across hospitals, home health and physician services, faced a major learning-technology problem: its 15‑year‑old LMS made course search, reporting, prerequisite tracking and role-based assignments cumbersome, requiring workarounds and manual spreadsheets for the Educational Services team responsible for training more than 7,000 staff, volunteers and physicians.

After an RFP, MidMichigan implemented Cornerstone OnDemand’s unified talent platform, which delivered a modern, user-friendly experience and scalable infrastructure. The new system enabled bundled curricula and automated role-based assignments, sped up delivery of Epic and compliance training across the organization, and supported rapid M&A growth — saving staff time, improving learner engagement and giving the organization the agility to push out policy and procedure updates quickly.
